Similar to the Apple Cinema 30" display, this unit uses dual DVI-D inputs, to reach the maximum available resolution of 2560x1600. Should also work then as an HD display, with components that can utilize DVI. So, you'll need a scaler, and / or an HDMI -> DVI converter if such a thing is commonly available.

This thing has enough resolution to display "9" DVD movies simultaneously at their native resolution of 720x480, and still have pixels left over!

As far as it's usefullness as an HD display is concerned however... the specifications leave it somewhat underpowered for serious viewing. 400cd/m, (whoops - edit) 700:1 contrast, 14ms access. Not really bleading edge anymore. I guess time will tell however, and as soon as I can get one, I'll put it through it's paces (I plan on using one as the primary display on my HTPC). If anyone gets a chance to see it, please let us know how it looks.
