Philips 42" Plasma (Model PF5520D) - Standby problem

Has anyone had problems with their Philips 42" Plasma flat Screen Digital TV? Back in December I bought a Philips 42" TV and when I put it into standby the Display continued to flicker. Since then I have had two replacements and both did the same.
Otherwise TV works fine with a good picture.

Interested to know if anyone else has experienced this problem or should I get another replacement?

Also I note that the rRed Stanby Light flickers on/off and after about ten minutes it does go either into stanby or the off position (no Red/Green Light)

With regards to your problem wuth the standby flicker, I have exactly the same problem and the set is brand new.
Did you get any luck from philips ?

No..... Philips confirmed they were aware of the problem but had no fix. In the end Comet rplaced the set. I now have an LG set which has a better spec for the same money. SO in the end all worked out OK. (Just frustrating at the time). Comet did also over £200 discount and agreed to continue to warrentythe set from that date which was about 3 months from 1st purchase)
