View Full Version : Excellent CES Pictures on The Digital Bits site.
I went to CES and feel that these pictures capture the feel of the exhibits better than any I have seen so far. Lots of Blu Ray ( and HD - DVD) information here.

Thanks for the link. It was very interesting to see that snaphot/photo of the VIDEO display, PQ comparison between Blu-Ray & HD-DVD, that Sony had at their exhibit booth.
On another note, I had a dream last night that I was at a Best Buy type store, and had ALL of the already announced BR titles in my shopping cart. :) Just goes to show you what happens when you read this forum/SITE right before you go to bed. :D
Thanks again.
Agreed, a lot of nice pics. I'm starting to want that Pioneer Elite BD player.

AS you see in the pics why blu-ray will win. It somple fact that most manuf have blu-ray and toshiba is basically alone.

I don't think blu ray will win just because it has more prototype models. I think it's likely to win because it has the most studio support and if they can ramp up the production and lower pricing.
It looks as if there were no actual HD players showing actual HD dvd content .
Yep...there going to be releasing HD in March alright.....hmmmm.
I can't help but smell great desperation as far as HD dvd goes....and I can't remember seeing this many "pro schills" for any product here at AVS, as I have seen for HD dvd.....and it makes me sick to my stomach.
There, I said what a lot of others are thinking

Toshiba had constant running demos of HD-DVD showing feature film content back at CEDIA Expo in September.

Is that an SACD symbol on the Philips prototype? It looks like it's at least CD and DVD compatible.
I guess, more to the point: has anyone heard any talk about a Blu-ray/SACD/DVD-A universal player, or something along those lines?
