I am in need of a new DVD player to replace mine as it has started skipping on dvds recently.
I read that the oppo has good picture quality, but the sony megachanger is not much more expensive and probably more convenient.
Any comparisons available for these players?

How many DVD's do you have siritchy? If you have only a few then the Oppo's fine...if you have 225 and counting..like i have as many others that have a 995 also do..then the 995 is a heaven send..... I love the fact that i can bring up my movies with 1 button and scroll thru them and select and hit play thats it.....i have watched more of my dvds since getting this player than I ever have......it's just sooooo convenient:D....+ the picture qualitys is Great .....especially with HDMI!

I think you'll find the PQ from the 995V to be excellent...haven't compared it to the oppo.

I also found that I make much better use of my DVDs since I got the 995V, so that makes it a better choice for me overall.

Yea, I have more than enough dvds to make it worth the extra cost. I think I have spent that much on folders to house them all. I just wanted to make sure the picture quality was good.

Do yourself a favor and downlaod the free version of DVDPROFILER...this program is awesome ..It took me about 2 hours to enter all my dvds into it....but it was time well spent.....once you get everything the way you like it then click TOOLS and select REPORT ....it will give you 4 free reports, those suck.........just click get more reports and there will be many to chose from..you can chose to put only ! movie per page ,or 8,10,or just a simple list of what you have on 1 page I chose to have 10 per page ....chose what you want to then download it to the DVDPROFILER program and click run report and it will put every movie you have entered into program ..in order ...some reports have descriptions and front cover along with main actors ....dolby digital ,,,lenght of movie....etc....then simply print off your report and place them into plastic sleeve's.(you can buy the sleeves at Wal-Mart)..and put them into binder folder and WALLA :D..atleast thats how I have done it ......it comes in real handy when it comes to TV series!
