Hi folks,

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-45GX6U. The DVD playback is very impressive, however, when I hook up my notebook to it at 1280x1024x60Hz, I get green speckling on parts of the image... any ideas what this may be due to?

thanks!
regards,

Hmm...I can't help, but the reason I'm replying is I have something that seems to prominently include "green speckling" as well. I get it, however, no matter what the source on my LC-G4U. Also, this wasn't there at first...just developed recently (TV is 6 mos. old). Unfortunately, I have no idea why this is happening in my case...I'm beginning to strongly suspect some defect in the display or AVC unit.

I verified that this speckling is only happening with the computer display connected and not on the DVD or TV... so my new hypothesis is that is may be the VGA cable in my case.

In your case it may be the DVI cable? I've seen speckling before if the DVI cable doesn't have a good connection.
