I got this player on clearance from Crutchfield about three years ago for $90. Aside from the fact that it scratched a disc early on when switching from one disc to another (the CP67 is a five disc model) I haven't had any issues with it. Always been pleased with the picture. But last night it made a HORRIBLE sound and now gives me the H07 error.

I've been trying to read up on the error but am quite confused about which part needs to be replaced and even whether or not I am capable of doing the replacement. I can't figure out if I need the SPINDLE DC MOTOR,0.195W (RXQ1222T) or the SPINDLE MOTOR ASSY,DC0.1W (RXQ0749B). Or if those parts have been replaced by something newer. There is a lot of information out there and it can be quite hard to discern what refers to the single disc players and what refers to the five disc players.

For the moment I'm using my Xbox 360 as my primary DVD player. I am quite pleased with the picture quality. And I far prefer the media remote of the 360 to that of the CP67. The 360 has too much fan noise though.

Seems like Sango is the man that knows about Panasonics and makes his way around the internet handing out information. Consider this my Batsignal. ;)

Any and all help would be appreciated.
