IVS works but results not consistent?

I have been using IVS between my 5040 & my parents 5040. When they recieve the program, it cuts in and out of other programming (every once in awile). I did upgrade their drive from a 40GB to 80GB and copied over previous recordings. I did read that this works, but is not best practice. Also it tend to lock up when multi-tasking. Like if I try to watch a program while two others are downloading in the background, it has locked up. Does IVS work better with different qualitys of video (standard, medium or high)?

The quality only affects the speed of the up/download. I'm not sure what they are seeing, but what you record is what they should get, period.

You are talking IVS from one home to another right? Not streaming from one unit to another unit....

I've seen the same phenomenon as the OP with respect to received programs briefly showing a few seconds of a different show. What's more, it seems that the different shows are ones on my ReplayTV, but I havem't been able to confirm as this does not happen often. It does happen though. I even recall seeing some people posting on the Poopli forums about this problem. I'm not sure what causes it--must be some cross-linked file sectors or something.
