I am trying to get 1280*720 with my AE900 projector. I have an ATI Radeon X600Pro video card using both monitors. The projector is on the second output.

I downloaded the latest driver and still did not have the 1280*720 resolution, so I installed PowerStrip and added a custom timing.

I am not getting a good mapping of the computer image on the projector, the image is too wide.

I am using VGA to send the signal to the projector since that is what my switcher will take. I will need to continue using this connection, and everything I found on ATI's website and 1280*720 has to do with the component output which is not an option in my existing setup.

Do I need to adjust the centering and stretching in the PowerStrip, ATI control panel or just find more accurate timings and settings for powerstrip.

if anyone has experience with this, please let me know.

thanks
Itai

cubesys ,

I have the same projector but i'm using a ati 800XL. My question to you is why are you

not using the HDMI to DVI cable that's what i'm using with no problem with this setting .

there sure be no need to powerstrip with that card. Are you going to into the Catalyst

Control Center to change this setting .Also how big is your screen and what throw distance

are you using to projector the image ??? Where in Mi are you located???

Curious, I have been using 1280x720 over VGA with my x800xt-pe for over a year now and that resolution has been in the options of all the drivers I have tried over that time.

No need powerstrip on that setup. Make sure latest drivers and 1280x720 is there. I've been running it for over a year.

I know this is basic, but is your desktop set to 1280x720?
