OT: 'Tonight Show' name change

FYI, starting Feb 14, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' has been renamed to 'The Olympic Tonight Show with Jay Leno'. Plus it's on a half hour later.

Question from someone who doesn't ever watch the tonight show:

Why the name change / additional 30 minutes? Are they going to include olympic highlights or something?

Normally The Tonight Show follows the late local news and starts at 11:35 (Pacific Time. Is it the same for the rest of the country?) But what NBC has done in the past is put in a special half hour show after the news to highlight the days Olympics. Therefore Leno gets pushed to 12:05.

I have no idea why the show was renamed though. I just happened to be going through the TV schedule looking for Olympic coverage for stuff I thought would be worth recording when I noticed Leno was no longer set to record.
