Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has experienced this problem and/or can give some input on how to solve:
Set-up OUT:
AVR4306 > Sanyo Z4 via HDMI (720p output, analog to digital conversion ON for all sources)
AVR4306 > analog TV via s-video (s-video cable plugged in scart adapter plugged in tv)
Set-up IN:
DVD-recorder connected via component (576i): OK
Playstation2 connected via composite (576i): OK
Legacy cable decoder box via s-video (scart > s-video+audio cable): NOT OK ON PJ, OK on TV
Legacy VHS player via s-video (s-video cable in scart adapter plugged in player): NOT OK ON PJ, OK on TV
Same VHS player connected via composite (same scart adapter plug): works fine
Problem: no s-video sources get upconverted/played through via HDMI to PJ.
Additional symptoms:
1. I know the s-video output from those two scart adapters is working, because I get a good image on the tv via s-video out.
2. When I call up the OSD for set-up, the projector intermittently receives a grey, distorted image of the source video with the OSD also distorted. The info menu on the PJ (intermittently) states the input signal is D-VGA. (Output to tv remains stable throughout).
Now I know the VHS is composite anyway, so I shouldn't use s-video, just shows that the probem isn't related to a single source.
I would appreciate any help you can give - I have the receiver on demo for the moment, so I need to decide wether or not to keep it or send it back...
