I have a Denon AVR3200 hooked up to a 5.1 speaker setup and am using a R10 Direct TV Tivo unit and am having some frustrating problems with the audio.
I am connected with fiber audio between the r10 and the denon and when a movie is broadcast or tivo'd in dolby digital everything works and sounds great, but when it isnt and is converted to dolby pro logic by the denon, all the sound comes from the center channel and the front left and right and surround speakers emit a barely audible screeching sound.
The only way I can get it to sound half way decent is to put it on 5.1 stereo mode, but I have to do this manually every time its not dolby digital..... very annoying.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
