Question about sony wega

I have a sony wega 24" and I was wondering how I can connect it to my reciever so I can recieve the tv audio through my speakers. The back has no audio out jacks so I dont know if it is acutally possible. But I connected the monitor out of my reviever to the video 1 jack and it works. I guess the question I am just asking if there is a way to get the audio through the reciever using the tv jacks that my tv has.

if the TV does not audio output, you will need to connect your TV source directly to the receiver
like connect the audio output on your digital cable or satellite box to the receiver as well as the TV

Ok, but I don't have audio outputs for my cable, all I have is the one pin coax connector. Is it still possible to have audio through my reciever.

yeah you can get a RF modulator which will send out composite and analogue audio
it does not make the signal any better though so I would use a spliter before the RF modulator to simply send only the audio to the receiver
and then have the coax go directly to the TV

this would be stereo, not multi-channel audio but you can use your receiver's DSP modes to create 6.1

If you subscribe to a cable or satalite service i would ask them for a box with optical output so you can get dolby digital. Like kny3twalker says, Your receiver can create the surround sound with Pro Logic or other DSP modes, But its not going to be as good as a true digital connection.

he would have to subscribe to digital cable, it sounds like currently he is only using analogue cable
