Greetings,

I have a Toshiba 34HF85C. I tried to search for conclusive information on my problem however I was not able to find any.

I have a jitter problem in 1080i resolution. The image jitters. I have had a Toshiba Tech come over to update the "Firmware" but this did not fix the problem.

Do you know of this problem? Is it common with HD-TV's in the CRT form? Can it be fixed?

Thank you for your time.

Your problem is the tv you own is a POS!! Get a sony or panasonic instead.

These Toshiba's are known to have problems since they are'nt made by Toshiba anymore, they are made by Orion now with a Toshiba badge slapped on it.

That's natural. 1080i images will natrually flicker. It's just something that comes with the territory since it's an interlaced signal.

Flicker with HD programing?

I don't see any flicker at all when i watch HD programming on my dads RP CRT Samsung at 1080i.

if 1080i flickered badly i would have never bought a CRT and got a plasma instead, Point is 1080i moves too fast to even notice flicker.

If your seeing flicker on the Toshiba then it's a problem with your set not HD resolutions.

These Toshibas are known to be built poorly and are not worth the hassle IMO, Return it get a better more reliable brand like a sony or panasonic.

Thank you,

The jitter is not natural, it is there weather the image is static or moving and is severe enough to annoy when watching TV. I will return it and buy a Sony KV34HS420.

Thank you.

Flicker IS normal on CRT's. Some TV's flicker worse than others. My Samsung's is much more noticable than my Sony. I don't know about Toshiba's.

No flicker here!

Yeah flicker is normal on SD CRT's but i have yet to see it on my HD CRT Sony, THe DRC does a great job of line doubling that if there were any flicker you would really have to look for it to see it.
