On my new 30XS955, whenever something all white comes up on screen like a title page for a game or whatever, I can see a faint reddish tint towards the bottom right corner of the screen, and it makes things appear soft when they are in that area.....has anyone heard of this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Possibly could be magnetic interferrance, do you have any speakers close to the tv?
Or it could be your degaussing circuit did'nt degauss properly upon start up, to fix that unplug the tv for about half an hour to an hour then plug it back in and turn it on and see if that helps.
agree, sounds like a magnet or degauss issue.. Now on my perfectly white screen i notice some 'blotches' of the white that are SLIGHTLY SLIGHTLY tinted very light white.. imagine on a scale of 0 to 255 of white, some area's appears like 253 or 251.. that minor.. But i also notice this with my monitor thats a Diamondtron (think rip off of trinitron which is what Wega's are based off).. So i think my problem/issue is common and unoticable to a un-trained color eye :)

Jinx you may just have the contrast set too high. When Contrast is set too high discoloration can happen.

I think my problem is like jinx's, its not really a red tint after I checked again, its just less "white" than the rest of the screen
There is no "contrast" setting for the TV

Picture control is the contrast setting, theres no such thing as a tv without a contrast setting duh!!!

Yea I knew that, I should have implied that and asked what the setting for contrast was instead ;)
Btw, I disconnected the power cord for about an hour but its still there...its not really that bad its just weird when there is an all white screen...as said before its not really a red tint. As jinx said its like its not as white as the rest of the screen.

Could be a color uniformity issue.
