perhaps, and I understand the big issue is whether this set has the Super Fine Pitch tube or not (looks like it may not), however, it does still carry the XBR designation.

A rebadged HS420, while solid, is not GREAT without that Super Fine Pitch Tube.

I think we need more XBR970 threads. We don't have enough as is. And I think you should spam some more threads with this as well. :rolleyes:

TV looks like a KV-34HS420 with some updated features
the DRC MF from the XS955/945 line, the zoom from the XS955/945/XBR960 lines, the tuner(maybe updated and better????) from the XS955/945/XBR960 lines, and memory mode from the XS955/945/XBR960 lines, and also has a updated menu system which is much closer to the Bravia LCD line
but its not a replacement for the XBR960 much less the XS955 models

if they called it the KD-34XS945, this would be better but even that TV has more features like cable card, memory card reader, better speakers
