The purpose of this thread is to compile a master list of all display devices and source components that both work, and don't work with the HDMI module in the Onkyo/Integra/Integra Research receivers and processors. These three units all share the same chassis, firmware and modules. Please post your personal experience with any components you have used with this module. We will send this list directly to Onkyo.
Although some of the issues are with the source components themselves not being designed properly to work with switchers/repeaters, there are definitely design flaws with the HDMI module itself. All the devices that I have been unsuccessful in using with the HDMI module, have worked flawlessly with my external Geffen DVI switcher. I have used two different HDMI modules that demonstrated the exact same issues.
Please share your experiences listing each component, with a brief description of what issue you encountered.
WORKS WITH MODULE:
DOES NOT WORK WITH MODULE:
Onkyo SP1000 (problem in passing HDCP results in mostly blacked out signal)
Samsung HD931 DVD Player (same issue as above)
Samsung TRI 160 Sat receiver (consistent brief blackouts)
