Do the type of component cables make a difference?

Will some component cables give at least a slightly better picture compared to other component cables? I know with HDMI (digital), it doesn't really matter. But, is the situation different with analog?

It can make a difference with analog but you can still find quality cables much cheaper then the monster cable crap.

Is it easy to measure impedence and bounce back? Why do most people not mention these when evaluating cables?
