Hacked Players and Power Failures

Thinking of getting a player that can be hacked to output 760p over component. My question is would it need re hacking after a power failure or retain the hack? ( Samsung 850 or LG 511)

I have an HD841 and it retains the hack after unplugging it. Approx 20-30 mins while running new cables.
