ok how is a playstation emulator or a nintendo emulator on my PC going to look on a flat panel 16:9 lcd tv set when the PC is hooked up to the tv with VGA? For computer games, you can set the display options to widescreen mode but for nintendo or sega or playstation you can not set a widescreen mode. So how is that going to look on a widescreen tv? is there settings you can change around to make the game fit onto widescreen correctly?

set ur emulator to a wide screen resolution
like
1280 x 720
if ur tv can handle it
and you should be fine
if its a 3d game..the emulator will just draw the extra wide screen picture

Just switch to 4:3 mode. Stretching looks pretty terrible anyways (when dealing with low resolution sources).
