Forgive my ignorance, but I am at a loss as to how to hook up my home theater subwoofer to my computer. I have a SB Audigy 2 ZS. Link (http://creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=205&product=4915&nav=2). Do I need to utilize the SPDIF output to a receiver and then from the receiver to my sub? Is there an easier way that won't cost so much? Thanks for the help.

(This is not a computer sub with digital inputs)

It depends if you're using a home theater receiver or not. Really, it should be basically the same way you're connecting your other speakers to your computer. If you have a HT receiver that you're connecting to your computer (e.g. via SPDIF), then connect the sub to the receiver. If you're not (at which point your means of amplification can vary), you can connect the sub directly (provided it's powered) via a 3.5 mm stereo (to your PC card) to RCA cable (subwoofer). You sub jack on your soundcard might carry another channel, so you might need a 1 stereo to 2 RCA jack which will split it into individual signals.

Thanks for the help. I will try the stereo jack to RCA converter.
