Any suggestions on a LCD TV around 20” (between 19”and 26”) that also works well as a computer monitor. It will be connected to a Mac mini, cable box and DVD.

I am looking for a small LCD just like you to use for PC gaming and a standard work monitor. of course, I’m not saying I would be gaming at work.....,<cough>.....
I have a Samsung LN-R series LCD and I have been eyeing the new LN-S models. My recommendation would be for the LN-S2341. Very fast response time, excellent colors, PC input and dual HDMI.

Are they the same as in the USA?
Do you have links to the ones you're considering?
Do you want a 16:9 widescreen or a 4:3 model?

I will buy it trough the internet and have it delivered to a friend in the US.
I’m not saying that budget isn’t important, but my main concern is quality and design. This TV will be in a quite small room that I use as office and guest room. The use will be about 75% TV and 25% computer (no games, office and internet only). Wife
I’m not decided yet between the 16:9 widescreen or the 4:3 models? I prefer the 4:3 for computer, and the 16:9 for TV. Once I will use it more for TV I will probably go with the 16:9, but I’m accepting suggestions in both formats.

I have just posted another thread about the Samsung that you have recommended which I purchased to use as a combination PC monitor, HDTV, DVD monitor etc.
What has disappointed me so far is that my 3 year old Sony 19" computer monitor looks dramatically better - although I bought it pre "HDTV".
It has only a computer input and not an HDMI.
If anyone can explain to me why this now cheap, 3 year old monitor seems to dramatically outperform the new "HDTV" Samsung, I would greatly appreciate it.

Isn't Brazil a PAL country? Will a set bought here work down there?

Brazil is a PAL-M Country, but nowadays almost all cable and satellite boxes have both systems.

By the way, have anyone seen the Sony BRAVIA working as a computer monitor? A friend mine told me it looks good. Any input on that?
