Question about Jvc Lt-40x776 "Open Box"

I know this is last years model, but I have a chance to pick it up at an "open-item" price with an additional 20% off coupon. That puts me at about $800 less than the Sony KDL40S200, LG 42LCD2, and Samsung 4051D. What does anyone think? Would you go for it or pay more for the newer stuff?

I only saw it once, but I recall liking it. I thought it equivalent, at the time, to Samsung's high-end model last year (LN-R-409D). I would probably go for it at that price.
