I've had a few Panny's plasmas over the past years, and the "feature" I hated the most was the auto brightness drop when a white screen was displayed. Whether is was to save the capacitors or protect the screen I don't know, but i know it sucks when watching a winter movie that suddenly becomes muted gray.
Is this feature still present in the new 8 and 9 series displays?
Thanks
