Good evening,

I couldnt find a dedicated headphone forum so I am posting here, hope this topic fits.

So I am after some great new headphones.

I have iPod standard and I really like the fit, but not sound quality.

I bought some Koss "sparkplug" in ear headphones and really hated the fit, also, sound quality was not much better.

I have been looking at the Shure e2c headphones which I have now decided against, one - because of the design, in ear and the wire trails over the top of the ear, two - simply they are right at the top end of my budget.

I am looking at Sennheiser MX series. Nice simple design and I am sure they will be comfortable as I like this style of headphone. They do seem to be relatively cheap, and I am not sure if they will offer much over my iPod headphones.

Any other alternatives guys?

Whats your guys opinions please?

Senn PX100, which I first learned about at HeadFi.

Cheap (less than $50), foldable (which was a requirement of mine), and outstanding sound quality.

I can't deal with ANY in-ear phones, so a more traditional set was what I needed. These have not dissapointed me at all.

Not sure what price range you are looking at; but these (http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx) are a popular choice; I have a pair and like them much better than the standard iPod earbuds.

They can be found for much less than the msrp; Amazon, Buy.com, etc have them for less than $90.

Here's a nice list of in ear monitors: http://www.headphone.com/products/headphones/in-ear-monitor/

The Shure's are regarded highly though the folks at headroom seem to like the Ultimate Ears better. They are the same price so you might want to give them a try.
