I need a surge protector for my new 32" LCD. I figure if I can find a power conditioner for a reasonable price why not clean the power while protecting my equipment. I don't have much, my LCD, STB, dvd player, and home theater receiver. Any thoughts on what won't break the bank but is still reliable?

Please. There are several on-going threads on this topic and many past ones. Even a sticky! Lots of info already.

BTW, when you discuss cost, use numbers. What's cheap to one is pricey to another.

Except in this forum, where using numbers is a sure way to have your post edited by the mods...

I'm assuming you're in North America. If that's the case: Your power, as delivered by your local power company, is probably already pretty clean. As far as surge suppression: The best surge supression is a whole-house surge suppressor connected to the feed coming into your distribution panel--the installation of which will almost certainly require the services of a qualified electrician.

Search Audio theory, Setup and Chat and Tweaks and Do-It-Yourself for more discussions on surge suppressors and power-line conditioning. This isn't really the appropriate section for a discussion of this nature.
