Sony DVP-CX777ES with SDI mod?

Anyone have experience with this unit using an SDI modification into a scaler? I am thinking about using one as a secondary DVD player for my family's DVDs (Shrek, Robots, Toy Story, etc.).

I've been using this player, SDI modded by JVB, into a Crystalio for about a year now. The picture is much sharper and more three dimensional (compared to the component) and colours appear more saturated. You may also want to look at the considerably cheaper Sony changer which outputs over HDMI.
