I just recently changed my DishNetwork subscription to DishLatino Dos (in order to get Fox Soccer Channel for only $35/month) - and so I've been setting up my Replay to work with the new channels and such (Add/Remove Channels). A frustration I've run across is that Dish seems to have changed what channel number they feed certain channels on. For instance, Fox Soccer Channel is normally channel 149 on Dish, but with the Latino package its not 149 (that gives me a subscrition error), instead its 877. There are several channels like that (IFC, Boomerang, etc) which isn't much of a big deal (just need to change some shows that are setup), however there is one problem that's pretty decent.
American Movie Classics (AMC) was on a lower 100's channel but is now being fed to me as channel 890. However, for some very strange reason, my Replay's guide indicates that channel 890 is a Sirius Soul Town channel - and when it goes there, it remaps the channel to 6053. However, if I use the Dish remote and punch in 890 it goes to AMC as it should. What's with the Replay remapping that channel to a 6053? Should I contact ReplayTV (DNNA) and see if they can fix the channel guide that's fed to me? Is there some other way around this? I've never used WIRNS but didn't know if maybe it might be able to do something about it. I have a 5040 and I'm pretty tech savvy if there is some way to do it. For the most part its not a horrible thing (I don't watch AMC much) - but its the principle of the matter and occassionally it is nice to see an old 4-star flick.
Any help would be appreciated.
