Hi guys,

I am going to build my first HTPC this week.

I have all the other components (except case and video card).

For video card is this a good card?
ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD/256M

I want it to be fanless for noise reduction and I want it to play future HD products (HD DVD and Blu-Ray).

I am not sure if only MSI cards can do this or did NVIDIA update the drivers for all 7 series?

Also, the 400mhz core clock speed scares me. Is this too slow?

Any other suggestions?

Here is the link to specs:

I just got one of these. From reading an article at tom's hardware I don't think a card will be doing HDMI (pretty much a requirement for BD/HD-DVD) unless it specifically advertises that capability, and this card doesn't so advertise. For me that's not an issue because I am building a Linux box for OTA and clear QAM, and using the component-out, so I don't expect to worry too much about having any protected content.
