I have a Panny RP91. I thought it had a dead cpu board. But I was able to power it up after unpluging the dvd drive. I plugged it back in and I was able to get the DVD to start playing again. I say ok it looks good. I shut it down and It powers up and back down 2-3 sec later. So I continue to play around with the cable and the drive. I was able to get the DVD to start playing again by spinning the drive and power it on. It played for 20 mins before it started to hicup. Only during chapter changes. It played for 40 mins before it started to go and hicup every 10 sec. I think but not positive but there is a problem with the drive and not the CPU board. I think the drive is pulling to much power and shorting the cpu board. Any ideas or sugestiongs. Id rather not replace the drive if I can. If the drive can be recalibrated or the spindle motor replaced that would be the best path. Thanks for everybodys help. Andrew
