View Full Version : I screwed up: xbr960
To make a long story short, I was trying to reset my tv to factory defaults( 8- enter) but instead I hit 7-9-enter. Now my picture is rounded at the corners and the overall quality sucks.
I try to reset by hitting 8-enter but that doesnt work for those settings.
Is there a way to reset the NVM Data back to what the factory shipped it with? If not, what are the settings i have to change to get it back to normal?
Or am I screwed and have to have a tech visit?
Thanks for your help.

From what I've read, you've reset the service menu to it's new-born state. Strongly discouraged.
Go to Kentech's service code thread and download the SM defaults.
Enter them and go from there... or you could call a tech (you might have some 'splainin' to do).
Here you go. (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=42233)
BTW, there is no post-calibration SM reset point (other than 0-enter).
The 8-enter, restores user settings to factory default and wipes your channel scan/favorites.
Thanks Guys, I will try that in the morning.
