When I turn my fairly new Sammy LN-S4695D, I hear a ticking/poping noise until it warms up. Maybe a minute or two? Is this normal for LCD flat panel tvs?

Also is there any way to fix the pixelation, so it looks better? When I watch football, the screen looks awsome until the players are running around and what not. It looks as if they have pixelation clouds around them.

Most TV's make that noise turning ON and OFF. My Philips does and so do others. But not for a minute or so -- check with other owners of the same model.

Check your connections, use HDMI or quality component cables. Check your settings if there's a SPORTS or ACTION mode.

Hmm I guess I never noticed the noise on my Toshiba DLP or others.

Yes I do use HDMI cables on both my dvd player and Cable box. I'll check the setting again too. thnx
