It's a well know fact that Panasonic is very bad at showing the whole field. ;)

My psychic powers tell me the original poster is watching a sports game on TV, and his non-HD Sony is better than his HD Panasonic when the whole field is shown. Must be the tiny details are poorly displayed on the Panny.
I noticed during the World Cup at CircuitCity the wall was displaying the game, and on the distance shots all the plasmas looked bad.

a 15" TV will outperform your 36" Sony TV.
Wait... your 2.5" TFT LCD digital camera display will have tighter image. Try it.
