Hi,

I'm a proud owner of a TH42PV60E Panasonic Plasma screen. I have this screen for about 5 months now with since 2 months an annoying problem.

Problem is:

When i turn of the screen and a day later turn it on again it shows fast a image of the broadcast i was watching the day before.

So, turn on the screen (hooked to a satellite tuner), watch a program, turn it off, go to bed, work all day, come back home, turn on the screen and seeing a black and dark redisch flash of the program i was watching the day before after a few seconds the screen is working fine.. I've tried different settings and tried hooking up a dvd-recorder to another scart-port, but the same problem raises..??

Does someone have any idea what this could be and how to fix it? Or is my screen ready for service?:(

Thanks in advance..

PS: sorry for my poor english..;)

Eric

I'm assuming you are in Europe because of the E designator on the end of the model number.

Sounds like the display ICs are not clearing/resetting. 2 things can cause that, firmware corruption or failed reset line on power up.

Sounds like you need a service tech to check it.
