Video / Audio out of sync

Hello again,

My system: Denon DVD-1920 DVD player, Denon AV2807 Receiver (connected via HDMI), Wharfedale 9 speakers, Hitachi 42PD6600 A

I seem to have a problem with my new system. The sound and video are a little out of sync. I just noticed it while playing a LOTR DVD for the first time tonight.

Any ideas?

I would ensure that you set the speaker distances in the receiver up first and then check to see if there is a audio delay feature on the receiver which many do have. I know that I have one or two movies that the sound track is recorded out of sync (Moulin Rouge DTS if I recall and Snow Falling on Cedar). I don't recall LOTRs having this problem.

EC is right. That's what the audio delay is for on the receiver. Just dial it back until you have lip-synch.
