I know there are some very knowledgable people in the AVS forum that perhaps can save the day for me.
The problem is that my Pioneer Elite 61 inch plasma will not recognize a signal from my Playstation 3 video game system when using the HDMI connection. This TV is the original elite version that was around for years before it just got replaced - there was only one model - goes up to 1080i.
Here is what I tried so far (none of which has worked):
Tried different HDMI cables
Tried a different Playstation 3 unit
Spoke with 3 different Sony Playstation 3 customer support staff who tried everything in the book on the PS3 side to try and adjust configurations. It's not as if the PS3 is set to 1080P (which my TV does not support), that's not the issue.
Checked physical connections
One person mentioned that there could be a need for a firmware upgrade on my TV to get the TV to hand shake with the PS3.
I wonder if anyone else has the same TV as me and is not having the same problem with the PS3?
Would really appreciate advice??
Thanks!!
Dave
