I'm debating over whether I should get the Denon AVR-587 or AVR-687. The 687 has upconversion and the 587 does not. I don't see any other differences.
Is the upconversion any good? Is it worth the extra $100? Are there other differences that I am not noticing?
I plan to use this receiver mainly to power my 5.1 system in my family room. I will also use the multi-zone feature to run a couple other pairs of speakers in my house.
