I went to planetreplay.com to find out why grandallusion was down.

My worst fear was confirmed. A search for l8er brought up this:
http://www.planetreplay.com/phpBB2/search.php?mode=results

I looked at his last 8 posts or so. In 8 posts he went from offering robust replys (with emaculate grammar and spelling) to getting agrivated that someone didn't use the search engine (his archilles heal) to emotionally announcing that he was departing and shutting down grandallusion.com

perhaps he went out with a bang to break the gravitational pull the replay community
perhaps he walked the 8th mile only to find himself pissed

I remember the first time I went to his site. I was a little bit late to the game. It was like lieing on the beach looking up to see a glacier had docked to shore. The site went down as profoundly as it came up.

My first reaction was to write calculated, manipulative stuff to try to get him to say, but I'm going to try to stay clear of the self-manufacturing drama and take a more lucid view. He knows he's implicitly always welcome and valued by most. He can chose how he spends his time. Here or there I hope the best for him.

I have no good ending to this post.

We can't see your search results (of course, anyone can perform their own search). Apparently, he had a change of heart about replaytvupgrade.com (http://www.replaytvupgrade.com/), it's back up (for now). His other sites have links to an explanation for shutting them down.

replaytvtools.com and justanotherforum.com both simply link to replaytvupgrade.com...

I for one am THRILLED that he put replaytvupgrade.com back on the air!!! There are just WAY too many links to it, and it is just TOO, TOO important! :D
