Hi guys, first post here i hope someone can help me out today.

I've been having real trouble getting my 1920 HDMI to work. After spending all day pulling cables through walls i now find that my shiny DVD player doesn't want to play ball, it is connected to my LG32LX via a new HDMI cable that i purchased today, i have only ever connected my DVD player to my TV via svideo and assumed that it would be a matter of plug and play with the new cable....not quite.

I cannot get any kind of signal on the TV, all connections are good, it works on svideo fine, but when i change the TV input to HDMI DTV i get the no signal message. The HDMI indicator light does go on and off slowly but randomly, this is different to when i unplug the HDMI cable completely and get the obvious flashing that the manual describes. I have reached the limit of my knowledge and could really do with some help on this ppppleassssseeee any one!!

Just to make sure, you activated the HDMI output per page 16 of the user's manual, right?

How long is your cable run? Are you trying to send a 1080P signal?

i'm unsure of what you mean by direct feed cable, i have signal via scart and svideo but have not tried another HDMI, if thats what you mean.

I believe so, have tried all outputs 480-1080 etc not signal on all and have left it running for ages incase it needs time to switch.

How long is your cable run? Are you trying to send a 1080P signal?
5Meter brand new cable, not trying for any specific res, would be happy with anything at this stage, so far no picture at all from HDMI.

Did speak to denon today who said that there should be no problems that they are aware of though he did supply me with a firmware update for the DVD player which I have installed this evening, still doesn't bloody work!! Waiting for a call back from LG re the TV.

Any ideas??

At this point, I'd try another HDMI cable. The first one I tried was defective as well!

Yeah, thats what the guy at Denon told me to do next. However LG have called me back and explained that there may be an issue but there is a fix and to speak to the retailer who has taken on responsibility of the Warantee as they should be able to fix it. SO have booked an engineer to come out and take a look at the screen, sound like it might not be the player after all!?!
