I know there is a section here for this model, but there are way too many posts that rarely talk about this in that area so I am doing it here and I would prefer not to look through the hundreds of posts to find what I need. I hope you guys don't mind.
So, for anyone having the Panasonic TH-50PX600U TV, what do you suggest as good settings for it (i.e. picture mode, picture, brightness, color, tint, sharpness, color temp, color mng., and black level)? Thanks for your input!!
This is like asking "What speed should I drive my new car at?". You should at least scan the hundreds of posts so that you understand about calibration and adjusting your settings based on program material and inputs used.
Can anyone help me with the best way to set my connections with the panosonic TH-50px600U to a pioneer vsx-80txv receiver with a HD cable box and DVD player I have the HDMI cable to the Plasma and receiver but I cant get it to work.

How do you connect rabbit ears to this set? I also have a single F type coax cable connection as well. Want to have both. Thanks

I have the 42PX60U, which has similar picture quality, besides being 8" smaller and lower in res, however, based on ******************* website their optimal settings, which is close to the ISF calibration should be set to these settings:
Picture Mode Standard
Picture +22
Brightness +8
Color -1
Tint -4
Sharpness -14
Color Temperature Warm
Enhanced Black Level Off
My settings are similar on my 42PX60U, but I have the Picture to -14. This gives me a great film like picture on HD material. I would recommend that you keep it close to these settings. However, as I mentioned the Picture set to +22 seems a tad bit bright to me. Although its personal preferance.

I assume you mean +14?

No I really mean -14. I currently have the picture at -10. I am trying to reduce burn-in during the first 100-200 hours. It may seem dark, but your eyes will adjust to it the first week. After 200 hours I will bump it back to around +5 to +10. However, the picture is very nautral. Although I do experience some false contouring on some commercials. Although its not bad at all.

Put it back up to 0 and turn your sharpness to -15 or so.
