I am getting this fixed due to tube malfunction. But is it part of the warranty if the TV have overscan? If not, how can I fix overscan on a 970

overscan is not a malfunction. you can lessen it through the service menu. there's a big thread on the first page of this direct view forum.

Actually, overscan is necessary. Too much is another story.

As vazel says, it is adjustable. A tech might adjust it for you. Ask before they come out. If it's not covered, cancel the call and read the thread vazel recommends.
